Amber and Indy are honeymooning this week! We will confirm pregnancy by the end of Sept.

Amber is showing signs of pregnancy and even ate a dill pickle last week causing us to laugh!  We will do an ultrasound on the 26th to confirm pregnancy and get an idea of how many pups we are expecting though they sometimes hide so we have to wait til their birthday to know for sure how many and what gender they are. Stay tuned......

woo hoo!!!! puppies are on the way! In fact Dr. Erin said "yep, she's pregnant before we even started the ultrasound"

Oct. 10

I went to visit Amber in her guardian home the other day and she is getting really big, bigger than she has been at this stage of the game with her other pregnancies so we are guessing there are 6 to 8 puppies in there.  I can't wait to find out! only 2 to 3 weeks left to meet them.

Amber's belly continues to grow and if we can get her to be still we can feel the puppies move. Exciting times for sure! 

Oct 21

Amber is here with her sister Dusty for the weekend and will be staying when Dusty goes home.  Amber still wants to chase the ball but is slowing down and won't run as fast or as long now but even with a belly full of pups she likes to play ball.  She is getting really BIG and I am guessing we will see puppies before the end of next week and maybe as early as Mon or Tues. We are getting very excited to meet these babies!

well after 2 days of prelabor and making our Nana really tired and sore from hanging out on the floor with our mama we are finally here.  Can we just say getting born is hard work?  We all came really fast once our Mama got started and from start to finish active labor was 2 hrs and 10 minutes.  There are 6 of us and there is only one girl!  Nana says we are all perfect ! some of us are going to be bigger than the last litters of puppies our Mama had and none of us will be as small as Mazie who is only going to be 15 lbs.  Right now we stay snuggled up in a puppy pile under the heat lamp or close to mama drinking at the milk bar and if we get too far away we cry, but Amber is a great mom and doesn't let that happen very often.

Nov 1

Nana has been very busy and hasn't been able to help us write, cuz our mama almost got an infection in one of her teats and Nana was working hard to make sure that our Mama didn't get sick and that we could get the milk we needed from Mama. Our Mama is feeling  better and didn't get an infection thanks to Nana's help and hard work.  In the mean time we have been growing, in fact Nana will have to change our ribbons today because they are getting too tight.  She said she will probably weigh us again today too just to see how much we have gained just for fun- it is not so much fun for us but it is fun for her and we like to humor her.

Nov 4

We are becoming chubby puppies and are growing like little weeds! We are getting more comfortable with being picked up and every time Nana picks us up she snuggles us close and touches our toes and ears and lips and she holds us on our backs-we are starting to think being held is pretty good.  Tonite after Nana put our Mama out to potty she let Dodger come in to see us-he is an 11 week old mini goldendoodle and will be the Daddy for our sister Mazie's puppies and for the pink collar girl who doesn't have a name yet. He sniffed us and was very, very gentle and then he left us alone cuz we are very little next to him!  Nana thought it was very sweet.  If our Mama had been nearby she would not have been happy about it as she is very protective of us. 

Nov 10

Guess what ??? our eyes are starting to open!! Nana says as soon as all of us have our eyes open she will take new pictures of us and post them.  We are also starting to get up on our legs a bit when we move around-it takes a while for us to get our "sea legs" and learn to stand up and walk.  We are kind of like weebles right now except we when we wobble we do fall down LOL!  (Nana is dating herself as weebles are toys from when her kids were little)

We continue to eat and grow and some of us are beginning to make little woofing sounds-soon we will learn to bark.

Nov 12

Today was picture day and we were not at all cooperative but Nana did the best she could -she is not happy with the results but they are what they are.  We also got to graduate to the big box so we have more room to practice walking as we are now getting up on legs now and walking pretty well though we still wobble and fall down a lot.  There is lots of room in the big box and the sides are higher so we won't be able to climb out as soon, not that we need to as our Mama thinks it is fun to move us and keeps taking us out at night and putting us on a big blanket that Nana leaves on the floor. Nana is hoping that with the higher sides our Mama won't be able to move us as she has to jump in and out of the box instead of stepping in.

Nov 15

Yesterday was nail trim day-we were very good for Nana as she trimmed our toe nails for the 1st time, we did not fuss or cry ! then today Nana had Bekah help her get some better pictures of us as she was not happy with the ones they took the other day.  We are doing pretty good on our wobbly legs now and we respond to Nana's voice when she talks to us if we are awake.  We are also starting to make noises and bark a little bit.  Nana laughs at us when we bark cuz it kind of startles us! 

Nov 22

We are getting so big and now we get to have dog chow (moistened with water til it is mushy) we love it!! The girl was the first to dive in and show the boys how it is done.  We had our first dog chow meal on Sat and soon we will be getting 3 meals a day and then graduate to dry kibble.  We are barking and playing with each other-we like to chew on each other but our teeth aren't in yet so it doesn't hurt.  Last night when Nana was trying to go to sleep we decided it was play time and started to bark and wrestle, Nana was glad when our Mama decided to feed us cuz then we get sleepy.  Some of us are starting to use the potty box for pooping and some even for peeing but that part take longer to learn according to Nana -she says she will be glad when we use the box all the time as it is easier to clean than all the laundry from when we pee on the blankets.  Oh Nana said to tell you she will try to get new pictures this weekend after Turkey Day whatever that is?  She is very busy playing with us and throwing the ball for our Mama and cleaning the upstairs so our Mama's family can come eat turkey and play with us.  Nana says she hopes she can keep it clean for when our new families come to meet us but she says not to hold your breath as she is not good at keeping her house clean when she has puppies to play with-she says we are more important than cleaning and she quotes a poem she read about babies but changes it to puppies "settle down cobwebs and dust go to sleep I'm playing with puppies cuz puppies don't keep!" wonder what that means??

Nov 23

Today we had visitors and tomorrow we get more!  Meadow's family came to play with us-there are 3 older kids in the family and they all held us and loved on us and their Mom took lots of pictures that she said Nana can post when she sends them to us :) We also got to go upstairs and we met our sister Mazie-she loved us and seemed to know we are her baby brothers and sister!  She was very gentle and sniffed us and wagged and wagged her tail.  Tomorrow Nana says is a special day when people get together to give thanks and eat way too much food-and Amber's guardians are coming to see us and eat dinner.

Nov 25

Guess what? we are getting our teeth!! this is good news for us growing up but not so good news for our Mama-now when we nurse our Mama stands up and her eyes get squinty cuz our teeth hurt!  We are beginning to sample dry kibble but we still like it mushy!  Yesterday, our Mama's Mom and Dad came for dinner with Nana and Grumpy and Bekah and then they played with us-we haven't seen Auntie Jane since the night we were born and we have not met Uncle Scott before last night-he was funny! he put on his 'poker face' so he would not try to take one of us home! Our Mama is his best girl and he loves her lots!!! then after they left Nana trimmed our toe nails again, we did not even fuss about it, in fact pink girl fell asleep while getting her nails done.

Today, the neighbor's grandson came over to play with us-Nana calls him the puppy whisperer cuz when he holds us we go to sleep!  He is just the nicest boy and is fun to play with!  Nana loves having him come help her.  Grumpy played with us too! he is usually at work during playtime but today he was home. We also got to play with our big sister Mazie and Nana's puppy Dodger -we like them alot!

We are growing up so fast! Nana says we are turning into little dogs-we wanna know what she thought we were? cats??? lol! We have had more visitors-Nana's friends Meg and Carol came to snuggle with us and then Bekah and Nana took more pictures of us. 

We are getting pretty good at eating our dog chow dry now and we are using the potty box for poop all the time now and most of the time for pee.  Nana says we are too cute! and smart too!

Dec 5

Wow! we have been busy......we have had lots of fun-we went outside to the deck for  few minutes but it was cold so we didn't stay long  and when our Mama is not in the box we get to have stuffed toys and balls but Mama steals them from us if Nana leaves them in when she is with us.  Yesterday after church, Auntie Jane and Uncle Scott came and brought their friends Tim and Lynn over to play with us-we all got lots of snuggles and we also got to play with Cori's pups for the first time-we are a few days older than they are so we got to show them how to play with toys. 

We are eating more kibble and drinking less milk-our mama is spending a lot of time upstairs with the other dogs but visits us several times a day. Nana says she will go home to her guardian soon but she will come back to play with us some and will be here on selection day.  After Mama goes home Mazie and Dodger will play with us and help us learn our manners.

Dec 11

  Wow what a week! Our Mama went back to her guardian home on Wed. and on Sat Lindy's guardian came to play with all the puppies and help to pick a puppy for her sister Mary-so we now know which one of us is goin to WA to live.  Yellow collar boy is chosen and will be called Enzo.  After Terry and Cal went home we got to play outside in the sunshine for a little bit then Auntie Jane came up to see us for a few minutes and by then we were so tired that we got in a pile and went to sleep.  Last night we got to find out what treats are! and we like them!  Nana gave us Zuke's Mini Naturals in chicken flavor and boy were they yummy-she kept saying "sit" as she moved a treat over our heads til our bottoms hit the ground-she says soon will know what that word means but for now she will help us.  We also got some medicine with baby food chicken and the chicken was so yummy we didn't notice the meds. Nana says that the next families are coming on Thursday to see us and pick which one of us will be going to what homes. and it is official our only sister is named Bear River's Lindor Truffle and will be called "Lindy" she reminds Nana of little polar bear. Nana said to tell you that she will get pics up of playtime very soon!

Dec 20

  We have been so busy!  Some of us got to meet our forever families last week and Nana told us about something called getting neutered-it didn't sound like fun! and on Monday we found out it wasn't much fun but the vets were really nice and they all loved us! Dr Patty said we are "a very nice litter"  that made Nana very proud!  We have been learning to "sit" for treats and we are now playing outside almost every day-we like it outside! Today is Tuesday and we are back to normal - if you didn't know that we had surgery yesterday you would not be able to tell by looking at us play. We also had a fun adventure today while nana went to take our big sister Mazie and Sparki to the vet for their CERF test.....We managed to get out of our pen and cause trouble in the rest of the room. Nana was not pleased that she had to clean up poop accidents because we got out and we couldn't get back in to our potty boxes.  We were not really too naughty but nana sure was surprised to find us out!

Dec 25

Merry Christmas!!! we have been very busy playing in the yard with Dodger and Mazie, and we got our 1st shot and some worm medicine-Nana gave it to us in canned food so we liked it!  We alos have been taking naps in crates and Nana says we will sleep in crates all night tonight and tomorrow Lindy, Enzo and Casino go to their forever homes-Casino's Mom and Dad asked Nana to bring all of us cuz their cuzin wants to meet green and blue boys :) we sure hope she likes us and wants to take us home!  Toby is staying for training and Nana says he will get to go lots of places with her and learn lots of stuff. She also just bought a new pen so he can be upstairs with the big dogs and they can't push the pen in and collapse it-they just want to play with puppies and sneak the food in our pen.  Nana says we have to get up early so we can have baths  before we go home - we don't like baths much but they do make us all fluffy and soft!

Today, is special day or so says Nana it is the start of a brand new year!!! and it is also special because today the last of us found our forever family!  I , Toby am the only puppy still here because Nana is helping me learn my sits and downs and walking on a leash and sleeping in a crate.  I don't like being alone!!! but Dodger plays with me and Nana and Grumpy give me lots of lovin'.  I will go home on Wed to my Mom and Dad who are anxiously waiting for me to get there!!!
