Amaretto and Me

My name is Barbara Schwab and I fell in love with labradoodles when I brought home my first doodle Tahoe an F1 cream/apricot labradoodle.  From that moment I was hooked and kept adding doodles, the more I spent time loving and training my dogs the more I wanted to breed these wonderful, fun loving, silly and very smart dogs!  I finally convinced my sweet husband it was a good idea to become a breeder and then set out to get the perfect girl to use and learn all I could about breeding dogs. I spent 3 years being mentored by another breeder and reading books and  breeders forums.
Sierra Vista's Star Dust aka Dusty is the first girl we bought for our breeding program.  Dusty is an F1b labradoodle.  She lives in a guardian home in Auburn with Sierra Vista's Amber Sunrise a mini goldendoodle in our program.  Dusty is now retired and has remained with her family.
Sierra Vista's Meadow is an Austrailian Multi Gen Labradoodle that lives with a guardian  home.    We weren't breeding very long before we decided to add some stud muffins to our program so we added Stroodle's Doodles Indiana Jones an F1b mini goldendoodle and Avonlee's Biscotti a Mini Austrailian Labradoodle.  Both boys live in guardian homes.
Our guardian home program allows us to have our dogs be pampered pets and a forever home when they retire from our breeding program without having to leave the home they have always known and saves me the heart ache of giving up my beloved babies.  I stay  in close contact with all my dogs in guardian homes and the dogs see me as Auntie Barb and love to come play at my house.
I am very concerned about breeding for the best health and best temperaments and work hard to find just the right dogs for our program.   I test for inheritable diseases and as hard as it is to cut a dog that I love from my program if they do not pass all testing they do not remain in my program, but are placed in pet homes .  All puppies are raised in the house with lots of handling and exposure to household sounds daily.  We borrow kids from friends to socialize our pups to children.

Our goal is to provide you with a wonderful low to no shed, allergy friendly pet with a wonderful temperament.
We can provide you with a wonderful puppy but you have put in the effort to make him or her a great dog!

Health Testing

The health of our breeding girls and the puppies they produce is very important to us.  We test hips (OFA & Penn Hip). eyes(CERF and PRA-prcd), von Willibrands, and Thyroid. We will use only tested studs with our girls.

Puppies

Puppies are raised in our home and handled daily. They are exposed to common household sounds ,children, and cats.  They are checked by our vet often and will have had their first vaccinations and have been wormed and microchipped.

Our Home

We are located in  a small town in the Sierra Foothills and live surounded by oak and pine trees.  We have a large fenced yard for the big dogs and smaller fenced yard for puppies to explore.
